HyungSeok Kim is a Professor with the Dept. of Software, Konkuk University, Korea from the year 2006. Before joining Konkuk University, he was a senior researcher at MIRALab, University of Geneva, being involved in research activities on virtual reality. He received his PhD in Computer Science in February 2003 at VRLab, KAIST. His major research field is real‐time interaction in virtual environments including multi‐resolution modeling of shape and texture and adaptive interaction mechanisms. His current research activities are focused on topics of shaped modeling for real‐time rendering and evoking believable experiences in the virtual environment. He is currently vice‐president of HCI Society of Korea and serving as editors and organizing chairs in related journals and conferences.
